About the position
The Sr. Mobile Engineer (Android) at CapTech is responsible for partnering with clients to deliver innovative mobile solutions throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. This role emphasizes collaboration, technical expertise in Android development, and a commitment to professional growth within a supportive environment. Responsibilities
- Develop Android applications using Kotlin and integrate with server-side systems via RESTful APIs.
- Utilize Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle build system for application development.
- Implement common app architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and MVI.
- Leverage Android Jetpack libraries to enhance application functionality.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver solutions in an Agile environment.
- Participate in knowledge sharing through Technical Communities of Practice and Lunch and Learns.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing Android applications using Kotlin.
- Strong experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Gradle build system.
- Working knowledge of common app architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVC, MVI.
- Experience using RESTful APIs and third-party libraries for integration.
- High proficiency with development tools and workflows.
Nice-to-haves
- Demonstrated progression and growth as a Mobile Engineer through previous experiences.
- Previous consulting experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment with minimal oversight.
- Experience profiling, tuning, and optimizing Kotlin applications.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as JUnit and Espresso.
