WSP is seeking a Sr. Municipal Civil Works Engineer to join our team in Wichita, KS. This position is integral to our mission of providing top-tier engineering services in the municipal and industrial markets. The primary focus of this role will be on the development of engineering studies, design reports, construction documents, and construction oversight/administration related to various infrastructure projects. These projects will include significant work for municipalities such as the City of Topeka, City of Wichita, City of Manhattan, and several Oklahoma municipalities, specifically in the areas of water lines, storm sewer design, and sanitary sewer design. As a Sr. Municipal Civil Works Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering services that support the planning, studies, analysis, and design of water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and stormwater conveyance systems. This may involve working with pump/lift stations and structural components associated with typical water infrastructure and conveyance design. You will also support water and wastewater design and construction engineering for municipalities and other sectors, focusing on water pumping, treating, conveyance, and storage. Your role will require performing engineering analysis for feasibility studies, facility master planning, and the design of water treatment and distribution systems, as well as wastewater collection and treatment systems. This includes responsibilities for pump/lift stations, chemical feed systems, and storage reservoirs. The position demands a high level of expertise in developing engineering studies, design reports, construction documents, and overseeing construction administration related to water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
