About the position

The Sr. Navigation/Infotainment Product Designer at Rivian will play a crucial role in designing user-centric digital products for Rivian vehicles and the mobile app. This position focuses on enhancing the driving experience through innovative interfaces in Navigation, Media, and Vehicle Autonomy, while emphasizing sustainability and a modern connected experience.

Responsibilities

• Work across a wide variety of design projects within the Infotainment, Navigation, and Vehicle Autonomy landscape.
• Work closely with partners to define user problems and opportunities for improving the experience and performance of infotainment products.
• Collaborate with design teams within vehicle UX to create a cohesive experience in the vehicle.
• Work closely with the UX Research team to understand user needs through user studies and testing.
• Iterate on possible solutions throughout the design process, from early sketches to polished final prototypes.
• Present work to business stakeholders and design leadership.
• Document final designs in detailed handoff files.

Requirements

• Proven experience in product design, particularly in UI/UX for digital products.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management.
• Strong communication skills to present ideas and designs clearly.
