About the position

The Senior Network Architect at ICF will play a pivotal role in shaping the future vision and roadmap for modern network solutions for clients, particularly in the Health Modernization Solutions (HMS) team. This position involves collaborating with enterprise-level architects and management consultants to guide the overall enterprise infrastructure, data, and customer experience, ensuring a robust foundation for application modernization and cloud migration programs. The role requires extensive experience in network technology and protocols, with a focus on innovative technologies, cloud integration, and network security.

Responsibilities

  • Attend client and team virtual meetings and, when required, on-site in-person meetings.
  • Contribute to workstreams and projects such as Technology Assessment, Alternatives Analysis, and Enterprise Cloud Architectures.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously, interacting with all levels of ICF, GSA, and client management stakeholders.
  • Engage with GSA and client organizations to manage stakeholder expectations and foster relationships.
  • Coordinate with executive leadership and technical teams to develop technical requirements.
  • Review incoming network technology initiatives and collaborate with solution teams to optimize application architecture.
  • Produce a vision, strategy, and roadmap for network modernization efforts.
  • Recommend and influence technology decisions and proofs of concept to obtain client buy-in.
  • Serve as the network architecture and strategy champion, resolving program issues to influence client adoption of solutions.
  • Author documentation for current state, future state, and roadmap deliverables, including SLAs and technical standards.
  • Provide thought leadership and coordination with architects and engineers to encourage adoption of network architecture solutions.
  • Support project teams on methodological aspects, ensuring high-quality discovery and data collection activities.
  • Evaluate ongoing performance and strategic management issues related to network architecture.
  • Provide recommendations for management, monitoring, and observability tools for network performance.
  • Make recommendations for security tools to enforce zero-trust security strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive network technology roles and participation in significant network modernization projects.
  • 5+ years of experience with data center infrastructure and cloud environments.
  • 4+ years of experience with enterprise-scope network architectural engagements and technical leadership.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust credential from the GSA and the client.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, including editing and proofreading.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and self-motivation with attention to detail.
