About the position

The Senior Network Architect is responsible for the design, planning, and implementation of Layer 2 and Layer 3 ISP networks, along with the associated OSS and monitoring systems. This role involves supporting both internal teams and external customers, addressing network outages, and improving network performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about networking, eager to learn new technologies, and enjoys mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Immediately contribute and participate in Wyyerd's existing network deployments.
• Provide significant input regarding network integration, expansion, and stabilization.
• Contribute and create network process and procedure.
• Become part of an amazing team, learn from and eventually teach coworkers, and discover and build up best practices to enhance your expertise.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies and solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of network OSS support software systems including NMS, DHCP, DNS, SNMP, TR-069/369, Netflow, Radius.
• Experience with software development and support including Rocky Linux, Cloud (AWS), Python Scripting and Automation.
• Basic and broad knowledge of ISP Access and Backbone technologies and solutions.
• Experience and understanding network monitoring, alarming, data collection, and archiving.
• Basic knowledge of SIP VoIP.
• Experience with Network Operations Centers (NOC) process, procedures, and best practices.
• Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and engage fully regarding core network responsibilities, Wyyerd's business, methods and culture.
