About the position

As a Sr. Network Engineer at Honeywell, you will leverage your expertise in network administration, design, and troubleshooting to manage and optimize network systems. This role emphasizes proactive problem-solving and innovative thinking to maintain seamless network operations, enhance scalability, and protect against security threats. You will have the autonomy to implement best practices, guide projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive network excellence, directly impacting the reliability, security, and performance of the network infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations and delivery services of the network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain network solutions.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Conduct regular network assessments and capacity planning to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  • Lead network troubleshooting and incident response efforts to ensure minimal downtime and maximum network reliability.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in network administration and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring tools and technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in network management (e.g., CCNA, CCNP or higher).
  • Experience using network tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Vmanage, Solarwinds and Thousand Eyes.
  • Experience with network virtualization technologies such as SDN or SDWAN.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully managing network-related projects.
  • Proven experience in network automation and scripting using tools like Python or Ansible.
