About the position

The Sr. Network Engineer will play a critical role in a medical network engineering team, focusing on supporting all aspects of networking, including routers, switches, and firewalls. This position is essential for a large data center migration, ensuring all networking components are effectively managed. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach, with significant experience in Cisco and Juniper network infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service through active and effective communication.
• Maintain a high level of client satisfaction by completing jobs on schedule and displaying a positive attitude.
• Discover, design, plan, and implement complex data center builds and migrations.
• Effectively document and present information to various audiences.
• Demonstrate mastery of Cisco and Juniper routers and switches, IP Addressing, and Subnetting.
• Design and deploy OSPF networks proficiently.
• Manage LAN configurations including VLANs, 802.1q tagging, routing, and QoS.
• Exhibit advanced understanding of spanning tree and etherchannels.
• Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills on hardware and software issues.
• Ensure complete and timely follow-through with all client contacts.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience supporting a Cisco network infrastructure.
• 2 years of experience supporting a Juniper network infrastructure.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification or equivalent Technical Certification required.
• Juniper JNCIS Certification.
• Knowledge of Cisco Proprietary and open industry standard network protocols (802.1q, STP, OSPF, EIGRP, PAGP, LACP, etc.).
• Experience designing and deploying a wide range of Cisco and Juniper platforms.
• Familiarity with industry best practices in network availability planning, security, scalability, and change management.
• Ability to communicate, mentor, teach, and explain concepts at multiple levels.
