As a Senior Network Engineer at Belcan, you will be responsible for creating innovative network engineering solutions and designs that adhere to defined standards, while also proposing new standards when necessary. Your role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional architecture teams to develop strategies and roadmaps that support the introduction and continuous improvement of next-generation network and firewall systems across all areas of the organization. You will actively engage in the development of a Software Defined Networking (SDN) model and introduce SDN automation solutions across various platforms including Cloud, LAN, WAN, and Wireless. In this position, you will work closely with Networking Operations teams to integrate AiNetOps into existing network platforms and future SDN platforms. You will design and implement roadmap projects, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and operations teams to guarantee successful delivery. Maintaining awareness of operations activities through regular communication with operations leads and attending update meetings will be crucial to your success. Your responsibilities will also include creating build instructions for engineering designs and supporting operations teams during implementation. You will conduct requirements analysis for incoming requests, ensuring that deliverables are clearly understood and agreed upon with stakeholders. A proactive approach to seeking opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes will be essential, as will incorporating security-by-design into all solutions to ensure that security requirements are considered alongside technical requirements. Additionally, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for operations teams, assisting with P1/P2 incident resolution and liaising with third-party vendors to create engineering solutions and proposals for continuous improvement. Collaboration with architects to propose, review, and implement new standards and technologies will be a key aspect of your role. Continuous personal development is encouraged, ensuring that your technical skills remain current and that you also develop non-technical skills. You will be expected to develop a base of cross-functional technical knowledge to facilitate holistic thinking during design processes, carry out technical reviews of change requests and designs created by other teams, and work with operations teams to analyze root cause analyses (RCAs) and design action plans.
