About the position

The Sr. Network Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing the network infrastructure of the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of network architecture, management, and security, with a focus on ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting network-related issues. The role is hybrid and intended for local candidates only, emphasizing collaboration within a dynamic technology team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage the company's network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Conduct thorough network assessments to identify potential issues and recommend solutions for improvement.
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement network strategies and plans.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues promptly.
• Maintain and update network security systems to protect the company's data and information.
• Conduct regular network performance tests and monitor network systems for any irregularities or issues.
• Keep abreast of the latest network technologies and trends, and make recommendations for enhancements or upgrades when necessary.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior network engineers and other team members.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and participate in regular testing of these plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
• Proven experience with Linux and Arista is a MUST.
• Strong knowledge of network architecture, design, and management.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of network security systems and protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with other network technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, etc. is a plus.
• Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest network technologies and trends.
• Ability to handle stressful situations and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
