About the position

In this role, you will manage network elements for both voice and data networks, ensuring optimal performance and capacity utilization. Your responsibilities will include monitoring network performance, evaluating capacity needs, and submitting capacity triggers as necessary. You will also be tasked with forecasting and analyzing bandwidth growth trends to proactively address capacity relief needs. This position requires you to develop strategic plans to augment capacity as required, ensuring that our network infrastructure can support the growing demands of our customers. As a key player in our engineering team, you will perform applied research and development, focusing on the design and implementation of new projects. This includes the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of various equipment and devices. You will specialize in planning and engineering, analyzing complex local and wide area network systems, and configuring communication media with various devices such as concentrators and bridges. Your role will also involve resolving interoperability issues across multiple platforms, including email, file transfer, and multimedia communications. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will act as a technical project leader, providing guidance and work leadership to lower-level employees. While this role does not include full supervisory responsibilities, you will be expected to lead projects and ensure that they are executed effectively with limited direction and guidance. Your ability to document processes and maintain clear technical writing will be essential in this position, as will your strong troubleshooting skills to address any challenges that arise in the network environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage network elements for voice and data networks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
  • 6 - 8 years of related experience.
  • Strong focus on scripting and tools such as Ansible, Python, Perl, PowerShell.
  • MEF Certified or MEF Aware.
  • Excellent documentation/technical writing skills.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
