About the position

The Sr. Network Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining network systems that support business operations. This position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about technology and capable of managing LAN/WAN/WLAN environments to ensure network stability. The role involves working closely with clients and technical teams to provide multi-technology consulting services, troubleshoot network issues, and maintain high uptime in operational environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide multi-technology consulting services to clients to analyze and provide strategies and solutions on all aspects of network systems, infrastructure, and related technology components.
  • Diagnose and correct technical problems with LAN, WAN, and WLAN network components, and end-device network clients.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot networking systems including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and end-user network clients.
  • Install, configure, and test updates and upgrades to network hardware and firmware.
  • Document all work actions as required by clients in accordance with standard policies and procedures.
  • Work with client and third-party technical and service teams to maintain, troubleshoot, and connect technical issues.
  • Perform basic systems testing and operational tasks for a wide variety of network systems.
  • Support multiple technical systems in 24 x 7 operational environments with high uptime requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent corporate or military training.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience performing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and error correction on a variety of network technologies.
  • Cisco CCNP certification required or ACNP certification required with an active certification number.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and implementation.
  • Working knowledge of general client and server operating systems and back-office applications, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical personnel in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner on multiple tasks or projects, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • High level of professionalism, particularly in assisting clients with technical questions and issues.
  • Ability to produce and maintain documentation of information security systems using various tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Aruba networking equipment.
  • Familiarity with wireless controllers and access points.
