About the position

The Senior Network Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure for a smaller financial services company. This position focuses primarily on Cisco products and involves configuring and managing various network devices to ensure optimal performance and security. The role also includes monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with IT teams on network-related projects, including a planned migration to cloud infrastructure in 2025.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco products.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to support network-related projects and initiatives.
• Assist in the planned migration to cloud infrastructure in 2025.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with Cisco products including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience with migrating from Presidio to Cisco or from any product to Cisco.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable with hybrid onsite work in Manhattan.
• AWS general networking/security experience is a plus.
• AWS Advanced Networking certification is a plus.
• Experience with Net DevOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, or Ansible is a plus.
