About the position

The Sr. Network Engineer will play a crucial role in managing network operations for a large manufacturing client in Waller, Texas. This position involves a balanced focus on resolving production tickets and user support while also exploring innovative solutions to optimize network performance. The engineer will be responsible for handling network support tickets, managing network equipment refreshes, and utilizing Cisco DNA Center for network management.

Responsibilities

• Manage a balance of 50% production tickets and user support, resolving network issues and ensuring smooth operation.
• Dedicate 50% of time to exploring innovative solutions and optimizing network performance through proactive testing.
• Handle network support tickets, including firewall changes and troubleshooting.
• Manage network equipment refreshes and migrations.
• Utilize Cisco DNA Center to manage and monitor the network environment.
• Participate in an on-call rotation with team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in network engineering.
• Strong experience with Cisco networking equipment and configurations (CCNP certification required).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing network support tickets.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cisco DNA Center and Ekahau (or similar tools).
