About the position
The Sr. Network Presales Engineer at Howard Technology Solutions is responsible for providing pre and post-sale support for Cisco networking products. This role requires a deep understanding of network principles and the ability to communicate effectively with clients of varying technical knowledge levels. The engineer will engage in remote customer support, travel to meet clients, and assist with onsite installations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre and post-sale support for Cisco networking products.
- Design, build, and maintain network systems.
- Pro-actively identify and resolve network configuration issues.
- Communicate with customers and sales teams to manage projects.
- Travel to new and existing customer sites for meetings and installations.
Requirements
- Current CCIE or CCDE certification preferred.
- At least five years of information technology experience.
- Strong understanding of network technologies and concepts.
- Experience in building, troubleshooting, or modifying switch configurations, IP address schemes, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
Nice-to-haves
- Cisco CCNP certification will be considered.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Comfortable multitasking and self-motivated.
