About the position

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is seeking a skilled professional to join our Archer New Product Introduction Team in Boulder, Colorado. This hybrid position offers a unique opportunity to engage in the dynamic field of genomics applications, where you will play a crucial role in understanding and assessing market trends, regulatory landscapes, and product validation processes. As part of a global team, you will collaborate with various departments including assay product management, software teams, regulatory affairs, marketing, and regional sales to develop and execute a comprehensive software strategy and roadmap. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver innovative solutions that enhance human health. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the execution of the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and technical requirements. You will develop go-to-market plans in collaboration with assay product managers and global marketing teams, focusing on achieving revenue goals and facilitating successful customer adoption. Your technical marketing support will be vital for sales and support teams, as you will provide training and develop tools to enhance their effectiveness. Building strong relationships with sales and key customers will be essential, as you will gather insights on emerging trends and user workflows to inform product development and implementation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bioinformatics, particularly in next-generation sequencing (NGS) and regulated product software development. You will leverage your experience to define new product features based on user needs, manage the product backlog, and lead teams in delivering solutions that meet regulatory compliance standards. Your ability to prioritize and organize tasks using Agile methodologies will be critical to your success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Understand and actively assess the market, including segmentation, dynamics, trends, and regional regulatory landscape.
  • Align with assay product management and software teams to develop software strategy and roadmap.
  • Drive roadmap execution technically and commercially in partnership with various teams including assay product management, software, regulatory affairs, marketing, and regional sales.
  • Develop go-to-market plans in collaboration with assay product managers and global marketing to achieve revenue goals and ensure successful customer adoption.
  • Provide technical marketing support to sales/support teams, including training and tool development.
  • Drive successful relationships with sales and key customers to understand emerging trends and key drivers for successful adoption of new products.
  • Own the customer-driven process to define user workflows in different use settings and communicate this workflow to sub-teams for implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics or related life science field (biology, biochemistry, chemistry, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience in NGS bioinformatics development, especially with regulated product software development.
  • Demonstrated ability to define new product features and enhancements based on user needs; own the transformation of RUO product definition and customer needs into software requirements using Agile methodology.
  • Experience in prioritizing, organizing, and managing the product backlog, building epics, defining stories, and enhancements in Agile format using Jira boards/tickets.
  • Experience in compliant software (21 CFR part 11) - FDA code of federal regulations of compliant software regulations.
  • Knowledge of web security and GPX security standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree (master's or PhD) in bioinformatics or related field.
  • Previous experience in product management or other customer-facing roles.
  • Previous experience with assay design and bioinformatics software for next-generation sequencing/genomics data analysis.
  • Experience as a software product manager, product owner, or similar position executing on software development life cycle and scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory submission process.
  • Proficient in design control.
