About the position

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering is seeking a Senior OCS Engineer for a part-time opportunity. This role involves working in a multi-discipline project environment to support the delivery of complex U.S. rail electrification projects. The position requires effective communication with clients, sub-consultants, and suppliers, and focuses on ensuring cost-effective solutions that meet technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage the technical aspects of complex rail electrification projects.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for integrated design and construction processes.
• Create OCS design packages for rail and transit systems.
• Train and develop junior staff in applying SOPs in projects.
• Conduct studies and analyses of new technologies and methods to present efficient engineering alternatives.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance for successful project delivery, including peer reviews and site visits.
• Perform any other technical and project management responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 18-25 years of OCS design and Traction Electrification System design and construction experience on U.S. light rail projects.
• OCS design experience on large design-build projects is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and mentor technical staff.
• Ability to develop junior staff in technical and project management skills.
• Professional engineering license in the United States is preferred.
