The Sr. Operations Analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing the financial performance of Shake Shack by identifying trends and creating actionable plans. This position involves performing complex analyses related to Labor, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), and Operating Expenses (OpEx) to support Operations and Finance in prioritizing projects and system enhancements. The analyst serves as the primary contact for Operations leadership, providing insights and conducting ad-hoc analyses to address specific queries. A key responsibility includes leading the monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) review process and facilitating the creation and execution of action plans, which are then packaged for executive review. In this role, the Sr. Operations Analyst is expected to create and maintain recurring reports that drive actionable insights for the Operations team. Utilizing data analytics, the analyst proactively identifies insights and collaborates with operations to implement plans aimed at enhancing financial performance. The position also requires executing and refining the monthly Operations P&L review process, performing detailed analyses of Labor, COGS, and other OpEx to evaluate and recommend improvements in operational processes and standards. This may involve working directly in the restaurant to gain a comprehensive understanding of operations. The analyst will conduct analyses across various formats, sales volumes, regions, and groups of Shacks to ensure financial optimization. Additionally, the role includes performing ad-hoc analyses for Operations leadership, partnering with Business Intelligence and Data teams to develop automated reporting and analytics, and creating financial training resources. Acting as a liaison between Operations and Finance during the budget process is also a critical aspect of this position, ensuring accuracy and clarity in financial matters.
