About the position

The Sr. Operations Research Analyst will serve as the Lead Analyst in a critical training initiative for the United States Space Force, focusing on advanced tactical operations in contested environments. This role involves conducting studies and analyses related to space superiority and multi-domain operations, developing tactics and procedures, and translating government needs into actionable problem sets for software engineers. The position requires a strong understanding of space operations and the ability to lead teams in analyzing complex data to support national defense strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed assessment plans of US space enterprise and adversary's space enterprise to identify capability gaps and recommend mitigation activities.
  • Assess the impact of doctrine, new technologies, and CONOPS on the effectiveness of US or adversary space enterprises.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations on military command control, electronic warfare, weapon systems, and training exercises.
  • Coordinate with user community representatives throughout all phases of development regarding requirements definition and prioritization.
  • Analyze operational user training and military maneuvers to maintain force capabilities.
  • Evaluate program designs and alternatives for effectiveness.
  • Apply emerging doctrine and tactics to system design and development.
  • Prepare reports summarizing support requirements and deficiencies for various programs.
  • Develop data mining tools and perform analyses using AI/ML techniques to assess situations and develop courses of action.
  • Lead team analysis in advanced simulation environments and manage daily workflow in GitLab.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of US DoD and IC space enterprise.
  • 15 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 13 years with a Master's; 10 years with a PhD or Professional Doctorate.
  • Experience in analyzing DoD space control operations.
  • Experience using statistical analysis tools like R, Dakota, and Galaxy.
  • Experience in multi-domain operations.
  • Competent in Python.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance.
