About the position

At Neurocrine Biosciences, the role focuses on contributing to the strategic direction and execution of opinion leader and medical marketing brand strategies. This includes a strong emphasis on medical marketing planning and execution, product education, and promotional activities. The position is responsible for driving the Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Speaker Bureau and promotional peer medical education programs. The individual will work in partnership with cross-functional teams to link opinion leader medical marketing to the overall brand strategy, engage with agency partners, and manage key responsibilities such as P2P program management and content development. Additionally, the role involves leading the implementation of marketing initiatives within a specific region, developing customer engagement strategies, and building relationships with key influencers. The position also facilitates collaborations with thought leaders while ensuring compliance with guidelines on medical/commercial collaboration. The individual will liaise with cross-functional teams to lead the development and execution of customer engagement plans, addressing customer needs and anticipating market trends to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of core opinion leader and medical marketing messaging and campaigns.
  • Manage P2P speaker programs, including managing the legal approval process and monitoring cap status reports.
  • Lead CAH P2P Task Force and P2P Champions committee meetings, including engagement training sessions for new account specialists.
  • Oversee strategy, planning, execution, and measurement of all congress product theaters, including submission and execution of congress contracts.
  • Coordinate Promotional Review Committee (PRC) reviews for content and promotional materials.
  • Manage the Medical Marketing eAccessibility process for all agency partner websites in collaboration with internal partners.
  • Manage relationships with medical education agencies and coordinate with internal groups on medical education-related promotional activities.
  • Support advisory board meetings in partnership with agency partners and internal marketing teams.
  • Lead prioritization of regional business opportunities, including pre-launch, launch, and life cycle management.
  • Own the development of regional business plans for current Endo Franchise products in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Lead peer-to-peer activities in the region, including identification of new regional thought leaders and execution of programs.
  • Manage and execute patient ambassador programs.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in marketing or life sciences and 8+ years of related experience, including 5+ years in a marketing role for a pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device company.
  • OR Master's degree in marketing or life sciences and 6+ years of experience noted above.
  • Pharmaceutical Sales, Marketing and/or Account Management experience required.
  • Strong communicator and skilled diplomat in all venues, with the ability to effectively combine scientific knowledge and communication skills.
  • Experience working to implement marketing programs with measurable business impact.
  • Experience operating in a field-based promotional role (sales, thought leader liaison, field marketing, etc.).
  • Expertise in managing and collaborating with multiple vendors and agency partners.
  • Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions and compliance-related issues.
  • Track record of building strong cross-functional relationships with medical, legal, regulatory, advocacy, compliance, marketing, and corporate communications colleagues.
  • Ability to anticipate business and industry issues and recommend relevant process improvements.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills, typically leading lower levels and/or indirect teams.
  • Excellent communications, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills.
