The Sr Ops Analyst (Temporary) at Warner Bros. Discovery plays a crucial role in overseeing operations and managing day-to-day duties related to live events streamed on B/R Live and B/R. This position requires a proactive approach and the confidence to make judgment calls that will maximize the success of operators while mitigating potential issues. The ideal candidate will have a basic to advanced understanding of live event production, with a preference for sports, and will be able to read production rundowns and effectively communicate them to operators. In addition to a strong interest in sports, the candidate should be familiar with AD coordination lines and multipurpose call bridges. A basic understanding of live event streaming and OTT products is essential, including knowledge of RTMP, HLS, VoD content formats (mp4 vs MXF), and H.264. Proficiency in the Adobe Suite, particularly Premiere for editing, encoding, and transcoding, is also required. The role demands computer proficiency specific to iMacs and laptops, as well as an understanding of social media and its integration into live events. The Sr Ops Analyst will also be responsible for managing the continued learning and achievement of operators, effectively training new operators on processes and procedures. This position requires a strong team player who can advocate for the B/R Live and B/R operation through troubleshooting, incident reports, and various communication methods. The ability to prioritize assignments, exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, and make confident decisions in high-intensity situations is crucial. A sense of urgency and a high attention to detail, while maintaining a big-picture perspective, are also important traits for success in this role.
