About the position

The Sr. Ops Engineer Deployment & Ramp role within the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience organization focuses on overseeing the deployment of MSP solutions across various sites. This position emphasizes customer needs and aims to enhance the performance and integration of automation technologies. The engineer will coordinate installation, commissioning, and performance ramp-up of products while driving continuous improvement in deployment processes and engineering design. The role requires strong project management skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of project plans and technical solutions, including problem statements and resource requirements.
  • Influence decisions on deployment and machine performance execution strategy to senior leadership.
  • Own tactical planning for the installation of complex cross-functional projects, managing contractors and vendors.
  • Define deployment plans and continuous improvement goals, setting standards and driving efficiencies in execution and performance.
  • Communicate program execution and performance to stakeholders, consolidating inputs from multiple teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience managing multiple large projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong technical background in automated or non-automated material handling equipment.
  • Experience managing project portfolios, budgets, and decentralized resources.
  • Ability to travel frequently, up to 75% domestically and occasionally internationally.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and applications.
  • Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, REVIT, BIM 360, etc.).
  • Experience with procurement of equipment.
  • Experience in Robotics, Automation, distribution, manufacturing, logistics, or warehouse environments.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams/projects.
  • Knowledge of project management tools (PPM, Clarity, MPP, or Jira).

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field.
  • Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma, and other operations engineering tools.
  • 3 years leading ARS Fulfillment Outbound Operations.
