The Sr Oracle Database Admin role at Hertz is pivotal in ensuring the governance, availability, and deployment of database systems both on-premises and in the cloud. Additionally, you will design and implement disaster recovery solutions for large-scale database systems, collaborating with various teams to deploy and support databases on EC2, AWS RDS, and VMware platforms. Your role will also involve advanced troubleshooting skills, focusing on database performance tuning, issue resolution, and ongoing replication issues. You will automate day-to-day administration and database maintenance tasks, execute large-scale database patching, upgrades, and migrations, and define best practices around database security to ensure compliance across all systems. Providing on-call support for production database systems and mentoring team members to build cloud knowledge will also be key aspects of your responsibilities.
