About the position

The Senior Account Executive (SAE) will be responsible for managing the Fort Wayne, IN territory, focusing on both acquiring new business and retaining existing accounts. This hybrid role requires regular visits to the local office and emphasizes cold calling and prospecting for new clients while also managing customer relationships to achieve sales goals. The SAE will implement effective selling strategies to drive revenue growth and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow billable value in assigned accounts.
  • Initiate business-to-business sales relationships.
  • Prospect and close sales opportunities to achieve budgeted sales goals.
  • Develop and implement sound prospect development plans and maintain key information in the prospect database.
  • Minimize revenue loss by maintaining customer relationship health standards and diffusing cancellation requests.
  • Execute retention calls to improve customer service and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Propose customer solutions that comply with regulations and resolve unique customer issues.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of customer needs, pricing, and competition; communicate pricing and service strategies effectively.
  • Acquire in-depth industry and company knowledge to prepare complex proposals and recommendations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of internal sales strategies and external market trends.
  • Work closely with Plant Managers and Brokerage Account Managers to assist in achieving plant goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 4 years of experience in direct business-to-business sales, including cold calling and prospecting.
