About the position

The Senior Account Executive (SAE) is responsible for driving sales growth in the Fort Wayne, IN territory through a combination of new business acquisition and retention of existing accounts. This hybrid role requires regular visits to the local office and emphasizes cold calling and prospecting to achieve budgeted sales goals. The SAE will develop and implement effective selling strategies, manage customer relationships, and resolve service escalations to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow billable value in assigned accounts.
  • Initiate business-to-business sales relationships.
  • Prospect and close sales opportunities to achieve budgeted sales goals.
  • Develop and implement sound prospect development plans and maintain key information in the prospect database.
  • Minimize revenue loss by maintaining customer relationship health standards and diffusing cancellation requests.
  • Execute retention calls to improve customer service and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Propose customer solutions that comply with regulations and communicate with Area Sales Managers to resolve issues.
  • Acquire in-depth industry knowledge to prepare complex proposals and make recommendations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of internal sales strategies and external market trends.
  • Work closely with Plant Managers and Brokerage Account Managers to assist in upgrading materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 4 years of experience in direct business-to-business sales, including cold calling and prospecting.
