DLA Piper is seeking a Paralegal to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in various substantive case, matter, or entity-related duties. Under the supervision of attorneys, you will prepare drafts of legal documents and correspondence for attorney review, compile, analyze, and summarize information, and coordinate efforts between attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, opposing legal counsel, other parties, and outside vendors. This position is hybrid, requiring regular in-office presence with some flexibility for work-from-home arrangements. In this role, you will support all phases of patent litigation, including discovery, trial, and appeal, and will provide lead paralegal support at trials and hearings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation for depositions, witness interviews, hearings, trials, and arbitration, which will involve drafting pretrial motions, creating trial binders, preparing trial exhibits, and managing discovery requests and responses. You will also be responsible for reviewing, organizing, and maintaining document databases for case tracking and discovery, which will require your coordination and management of large document collections and productions. Utilizing legal software such as Relativity and litigation technology, you will work on document reviews, prepare privilege logs, and support patent litigation, patent appeals, and contested proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC). This position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
