About the position

The Partner Marketing Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is responsible for driving customer adoption of AWS's Cloud Services through the telecom partner community. This role involves developing a comprehensive understanding of the AWS partner ecosystem and executing a global partner marketing plan to support growth objectives with telecom operators and ISV partners. The manager will create marketing messaging, collateral, and demand generation programs to help partners acquire and retain customers, while also managing marketing development funds and measuring ROI on marketing activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute best-in-class marketing plans and programs that can be leveraged across different partner tiers to effectively drive end-customer awareness and adoption of partner solutions.
  • Craft and refine messaging for the Telco industry through partners and collaborate with top AWS Communication Service Providers (CSPs) to build joint value proposition messaging and content.
  • Build detailed campaign project plans, including campaign goals, messaging, call to action, marketing distribution channels, follow-up activities, and success metric tracking.
  • Work closely with Telco Partner Business Development (PDM) leaders to identify priorities and partner marketing initiatives for global execution or regional delivery and local activation.
  • Develop event strategy, success criteria, and metrics for AWS participation in industry and partner events.
  • Become the subject matter expert for strategic CSPs and advocate for their inclusion in programs across AWS that provide mutual benefit.
  • Manage outside vendors to execute programs and achieve goals.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • 7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
  • Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
