About the position

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center - Opening in 2025! When open in early 2025, Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health will be the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years! This teaching hospital will integrate clinical care with existing providers, The George Washington University Hospital, and the Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This clinical integration will establish a robust system of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it will ensure residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transports. We are currently seeking a Sr. Admissions Representative. The Sr Admissions Rep/Registrar is responsible for facilitating an efficient, professional, and effective registration process through the attainment of demographic and financial information via face-to-face registration that is pertinent to appropriate reimbursement and statistical analysis. The individual is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate accounts to ensure data base integrity and timely claims processing. Provide support to an organizational culture that lends the highest degree of service excellence standards to all customer groups.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate an efficient, professional, and effective registration process.
  • Obtain demographic and financial information via face-to-face registration.
  • Ensure appropriate reimbursement and statistical analysis.
  • Maintain complete and accurate accounts to ensure database integrity.
  • Ensure timely claims processing.
  • Support an organizational culture of service excellence.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • 2-5 years of problem-solving experience in a Customer Service environment (preferably healthcare or insurance) or Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of problem-solving experience in a Customer Service environment (preferably healthcare or insurance).
  • Computer/keyboard skills required.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
