Join us to transform the future through continuous technological innovation. SNPS is seeking a Senior Manager North America Payroll to join its Corporate Finance & Accounting team. This position reports to the Assistant Corporate Controller and will manage a staff of 3-5 payroll managers and specialists. Successful managers at SNPS are self-starters, clear communicators who are able to work autonomously, natural problem solvers, and unfazed by adversity or ambiguity. The Senior Manager will drive the establishment and documentation of SOPs, policies, procedures, practices, and internal controls related to end-to-end payroll, time, and attendance processes. This role will build partnerships and solicit feedback from internal and external business partners to define and develop successful, scalable processes and practices. The manager will partner with senior leadership in human resources, operations, finance, legal, and IT in developing, updating, and implementing system-wide policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the payroll process as well as in implementing strategic objectives. Additionally, the Senior Manager will lead the development and oversight of key project plans to increase automation, consistency, accuracy, and integrity of payroll systems and operations. They will oversee the audit of the payroll team's activities and processes to ensure compliance with all system-wide policies, state-specific employment laws, requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Coaching, mentoring, and providing leadership development to team members will be essential to optimize operational excellence and create a deeper bench of experienced talent. The role also involves acting as the primary payroll contact for the establishment of new payrolls, implementation of tax and regulatory changes, process changes, management of earning/deduction codes, and system enhancements. The Senior Manager will communicate and resolve payroll issues for Human Resources, Accounting, and other departments as needed, coordinate and provide information, records, and reports for all payroll audits, and maintain a high level of customer service including timely research and response to inquiries and consultation on payroll issues including tax and regulatory matters. Maintaining up-to-date professional and technical payroll knowledge including US & Canada government, state, and local requirements is crucial to ensure company compliance and advising management on needed actions. The Senior Manager will also respect dignity and confidentiality by adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
