About the position

The Sr. Payroll Representative is responsible for compiling, processing, and maintaining employee information records, pay, and timekeeping data to ensure payroll records are accurate and employees are paid in a timely manner. This role involves processing taxes and deductions, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues from employees and management.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes ADP payroll software to input payroll data and timekeeping information for employees.
  • Ensures accurate calculation of wages and processing of tax withholding and company deductions.
  • Assists team members with resolving payroll-related inquiries and employee issues.
  • Processes and maintains employee data associated with events, changes, and terminations.
  • Maintains current knowledge of payroll administration laws and regulations.
  • Provides support to employees and assists in resolving payroll discrepancies.
  • Oversees and maintains up-to-date supporting documentation and confidential employee folders.
  • Creates and maintains internal reports and SOPs for the payroll system.
  • Establishes effective working relationships with Home Office departments and business teams.
  • Participates in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company and its services.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • Well-developed listening, communication, problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HR/PY database programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of payroll administration experience preferred.
  • Previous experience using ADP Workforce Now or other payroll applications preferred.
