About the position

The Senior Payroll Systems Analyst at Broadridge plays a crucial role in supporting the Payroll team by ensuring the functionality and integration of payroll systems to facilitate accurate calculations, processing, and reporting. This position is pivotal in resolving technical issues related to the ADP EV5 payroll application and managing integration points with both internal and external systems. As the primary contact for problem management, the analyst will collaborate with various stakeholders to collect requirements, troubleshoot defects, recommend enhancements, and conduct user acceptance testing. In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Payroll Systems Analyst will lead and support projects related to system upgrades, integrations, and benefits initiatives, particularly focusing on a new payroll system implementation project. This includes gathering and creating business requirements, interpreting and managing changes, and performing thorough testing and system audits to ensure compliance and efficiency. The role demands a strong understanding of payroll and timekeeping systems, as well as foundational knowledge in payroll, benefits, time and labor, payroll tax, and auditing functions. The analyst will also be responsible for researching system issues as the first point of escalation, leading testing for payroll configurations and enhancements, and supporting tax reporting and year-end processes, including W-2 processing and multi-state reporting. Collaboration with the implementation team is essential to successfully integrate the new Payroll System for US payroll, and the analyst will also engage in change management activities, providing recommendations and training related to system modifications and enhancements. Documentation for payroll system processes and procedures will be created and updated as part of the role, ensuring clarity and compliance across the board.

Responsibilities

  • Research system issues for payroll as the first point of escalation.
  • Lead research and testing for payroll configurations and changes, enhancements, and special projects, including implementing audits and controls.
  • Support tax reporting, year-end, W-2 processing and multi-state reporting.
  • Work closely with implementation team to integrate new Payroll System for US payroll.
  • Collaborate with Payroll team in change management activities including making recommendations, and system training relative to system modifications and/or enhancements.
  • Create and update documentation for payroll system related processes and procedures.
  • Lead various projects for process improvement or new endeavors which may include outside vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business or Human Resources or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of experience in HR Technology, Payroll or Time & Labor systems role.
  • Experience with payroll system implementation is a plus.
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) is a plus.
