The role of Senior People & Culture Generalist involves creating incredible workplace experiences, solving people puzzles, and running smooth payroll processes.

Responsibilities

  • Be a go-to partner for the VP of People and be a creative problem-solver.
  • Support performance cycles, benefits administration, and compliance needs.
  • Run semi-monthly payroll efficiently, preferably with Paylocity experience.
  • Oversee HRIS updates, people metrics, and ensure clean reporting.
  • Support engagement initiatives, leadership programs, and team events.
  • Ensure compliance with multi-state employment laws, especially in California.
  • Lead onboarding, offboarding, and manage the people life cycle with care.
  • Create a great experience for team members, clients, and partners.

Requirements

  • Servant Leader in people and business interactions.
  • Natural relationship builder with a mission to put People & Relationships first.
  • Progressive and out-of-the-box thinker in People Operations.
  • Value Positive Psychology.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, communications, psychology, or related field of study or equivalent experience.
  • SHRM - CP/SCP Certification.
  • 4–6 years in a generalist/people ops role with payroll experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of California employment law.
  • Experience with Paylocity is a plus.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to have fun.
  • Big on trust, empathy, and accountability.
