About the position

The Sr. Performance Data Analyst will oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of media performance data across various business functions. This role is crucial for delivering data-informed decision-making and will work as part of a larger cross-agency team in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of applying data to brand development, experience in multicultural advertising, and the ability to lead others. The position focuses on measuring KPIs and using them to tell data-driven narratives and provide actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret media spend performance data to provide actionable insights and strategies.
  • Develop strategies to meet client business goals and requirements using data storytelling.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to create client tools and services such as segmentation, modeling, and dashboard development.
  • Generate specific and actionable client recommendations by working with the agency's internal strategy and planning team.
  • Create reports and presentations identifying trends and opportunities in paid online media, social media, local campaigns, and website data.
  • Contribute to agency innovation and establish the agency as a leader in analytics in the multicultural market.
  • Assist in building out services in social media and mobile analytics, and customer database analytics.
  • Monitor and interpret cultural and social trends relevant to clients' businesses.
  • Lead and participate in new business strategies and present ideas at pitches.
  • Stay current with client and industry developments and benchmarks.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, business, or marketing.
  • Hands-on experience in cleaning, processing, and analyzing data.
  • Master's Degree in Data Analytics preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Python/R.
  • 5+ years of experience at a media agency or marketing analytics firm, extracting insights from large data sets.
  • Experience in advertising agency with a focus on multicultural consumers.
  • Ability to effectively present research results to clients and agency employees.
