About The Position
The Senior Planning & Analysis Analyst at SAHARA Las Vegas plays a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis functions of the property. This position is responsible for generating and delivering a variety of analytical reports and budgets that support the operational and strategic goals of the resort and casino. The analyst will focus on producing the Daily Operating Report and other necessary analytics that provide insights into the property's performance. This includes aiding in the creation of budget and forecasting tools that are essential for effective financial management. In addition to daily reporting, the analyst will be tasked with generating weekly, monthly, and annual reports that encompass labor and Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) analysis, tracking productivity through key business indicators, and providing insights into casino marketing and production reports. The role also involves revenue and market trend analysis, as well as conducting special event pro-forma and after-the-fact analyses to evaluate the financial impact of events. The analyst will support the annual operating budget and Capital Expenditure (Capex) planning processes, ensuring that financial resources are allocated effectively to meet the property’s objectives. Ad-hoc analysis will also be a significant part of this role, as the analyst will respond to requests from senior management for specific financial insights and data. This position requires a strong understanding of the hospitality and gaming industry, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating professionalism and maturity under pressure. The analyst must be adept at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, meeting constant deadlines, and maintaining a strong attention to detail.
