About the position

The Senior Planning Analyst in Customer Operations will serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory activities, focusing on coordinating rate case activities, preparing regulatory filings, and ensuring compliance with Public Service Commission (PSC) Orders. This role is essential for maintaining well-documented rate case submissions and ensuring that Customer Operations adheres to various regulatory requirements, ultimately enhancing the customer experience and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a proactive, customer-centric culture to foster trust and confidence among stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on regulatory proceedings affecting the company and customers, representing Con Edison at external meetings.
  • Create and present detailed analyses on regulatory issues and business trends to upper management and external stakeholders.
  • Interpret regulatory filings and lead cross-functional teams to comply with new or revised regulations.
  • Prepare filings and responses to Commission Orders regarding new Customer Operations programs, including testimony and exhibits for regulatory proceedings.
  • Cultivate relationships within Customer Operations and with external stakeholders, partnering with various departments as needed.
  • Track compliance with rate case and regulatory requirements, managing project plans and executive updates.
  • Maintain organized files and accurate records, safeguarding reports and work papers.
  • Perform administrative duties including training coordination, event planning, and procurement responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 3 years work experience.
  • 5 years' experience in an analyst or managerial position with skills in leadership and operational analyses.
  • Demonstrated analytical experience.
  • Experience in research and report writing.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Ability to interact and partner with various levels of management and organizations.
  • Experience handling multiple assignments and changing priorities.
  • Experience working independently and making sound business decisions.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and strong leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Regulatory or energy industry experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree, MBA or MPP with a minimum of 2 years work experience.
  • Juris Doctorate.
  • Experience developing policy positions.
