About the position

The position focuses on software development with a strong emphasis on health and safety. The role involves writing clean, scalable code, developing technical specifications, and creating user interfaces. The incumbent will also mentor junior programmers and provide technical support for various applications, ensuring a collaborative environment that fosters success across the team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following policies and acting safely at all times.
• Write clean, scalable code using modern programming languages.
• Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture.
• Create and test software prototypes.
• Develop client displays and user interfaces.
• Assist software personnel in handling project-related work and other requirements.
• Coordinate with other software professionals and developers.
• Upgrade, configure, and debug existing systems.
• Provide technical support for web, desktop, or mobile applications.
• Design relational databases.
• Mentor junior programmers and serve as a subject matter expert for transitioning senior programmers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required, or 8 years of development experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 5 years of development experience required.
• Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL required.
• Knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: C#, JavaScript, React, TypeScript.
• Expertise developing or integrating with REST APIs preferred.
• Experience producing code using C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, or TypeScript preferred.
• Experience with frameworks .NET, React, Angular, or Vue preferred.
• Experience with HTML5/CSS3 a plus.
• Experience with Azure a plus.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
