About the position

The Sr. Pricing Strategy Analyst at Interstate Batteries is responsible for researching, developing, and implementing competitive pricing programs across various channels and product segments. This role involves monitoring market conditions and competitor strategies to ensure pricing aligns with market dynamics. The analyst will report to senior leadership on competitive intelligence and pricing strategies, facilitating pricing strategy changes from inception to market introduction.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop competitive pricing programs for various channels and product segments.
  • Monitor market and competitor strategies to ensure pricing is aligned with market conditions.
  • Plan, direct, and facilitate pricing strategy changes from inception through market introduction.
  • Engage with the sales team to develop corrective actions and drive decision-making through profitability/ROI tools.
  • Analyze the aftermarket battery industry competitive landscape and deliver insights to senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain competitor data; prepare scheduled and ad-hoc pricing analysis.
  • Interpret analyses into clear insights and recommendations, effectively communicating the story of the data.
  • Leverage expertise in data transformation to develop robust models and profitability assessments for effective pricing strategies.
  • Lead implementation and maintenance of pricing tools and systems.
  • Analyze portfolio statistics to identify risks or opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, or other highly analytical fields.
  • 3+ years in a business analyst or pricing analyst role.
  • Strong analytical skills with a structured approach to provide consultative recommendations.
  • Ability to extract and analyze data from large databases, even when data is conflicting or incomplete.
  • Ability to influence leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter with the ability to deliver analysis and recommendations with limited oversight.
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PPT, and Outlook).
  • Experience with SAP, Tableau, Alteryx/SQL, Python/R is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.
