About the position

The Sr/Principal ATE Test Engineer will play a crucial role in the development of automated test solutions for precision timing and mixed signal/analog devices. This position involves designing test hardware and software, supporting new product launches into high volume production, and collaborating with global teams to ensure successful implementation of test solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ATE development, particularly for mixed signal ICs, and will contribute to the company's reputation as a leader in innovative semiconductor products.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for development of robust test solution for precision timing, mixed signal/analog devices, taking into account quality, cost and time to market
• Perform board-level design of custom test boards and probe cards
• Set up, implementation, debug and optimization of test programs for automated testing
• Ensure the test program is scalable (multi-site), re-usable and accurate (GR&R)
• Responsible NPI (New Product Introduction) test package transfer to production
• Collaborate with overseas personnel to release test solutions into production
• Lead yield enhancement and cost reduction projects
• Support other projects as needed by management or as business needs evolve

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in ATE development for mixed-signal ICs
• B.S in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Masters or PhD preferred.
• Hands-on skills with ATE platforms such as Teradyne's ETS-364, ETS-88, uFLEX and LTX-Credence's ASL1K
• Knowledge of analog electronics and experience with board-level design and debug
• Experience in statistical analysis of test data
• Hands-on experience with electronics lab instrumentation
• Excellent programming skills and prior experience with C++
• Experience with MATLAB and Python preferred but not required
• Team player with a strong sense of urgency to meet test requirements on schedule
