About the position

The Sr Principal Cyber Systems Test Engineer at Northrop Grumman is responsible for leading integration and testing activities for a large program, ensuring that all test activities are coordinated across multiple teams and locations. This role involves hands-on integration and testing on a cyber platform, developing comprehensive test plans, and analyzing test results to verify system requirements. The position requires a strong background in STEM disciplines and experience in leading test teams, with a focus on problem-solving and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Integration & Test Engineer for a large program, coordinating all test activities across multiple teams in different locations.
  • Perform hands-on integration and testing on a cyber platform comprised of several integrated components.
  • Synthesize internal and external customer needs and requirements into system tests that acknowledge technical and schedule constraints.
  • Participate in the development and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for verifying system requirements.
  • Coordinate integrated testing activities with other external test organizations.
  • Review and evaluate test requirements to ensure completeness of the test program.
  • Perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 4 years of experience.
  • Experience leading test teams and/or programs.
  • Experience with test automation.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to team members both verbally and in writing.
  • Must obtain a Scaled Agile Framework Practitioner certification within 6 months after onboarding.
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as a member of an Agile Scrum team.
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience with Eggplant test automation tool.
  • Ability to debug complex integrated applications or test setup issues.
