About the position

The Sr Principal Engineer Systems - SE Architecture Team Lead at Northrop Grumman is responsible for leading the Systems Engineering (SE) Architecture team within the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program. This role involves overseeing team performance, ensuring compliance with SE processes, and maintaining metrics of team progress. The position requires technical competence in systems engineering, architecture, and integration, and involves collaboration with various customer and contractor organizations to develop integrated solutions for missile defense operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SE Architecture team and report to the SE Engineering Manager.
• Maintain accurate metrics of team progress and support staffing responsibilities.
• Act as a reviewer of products to ensure quality and compliance with SE Architecture team processes.
• Analyze high-level needs and refine them into an integrated set of requirements.
• Communicate effectively with multiple customer and contractor organizations.

Requirements

• An active Secret clearance is required to start.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6 years of experience.
• Proven track record of applying systems engineering principles to develop product solutions.
• Experience developing system engineering artifacts such as Specifications, Interface Control Documents, and Use Cases.
• Experience using systems engineering tools for requirements management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using C2BMC processes and methods.
• Knowledge of C2BMC architecture and implementation.
• Experience in Ballistic Missile defense.
• Experience leading and directing the activities of other systems engineers.
