About the position

As a Sr. Principal Mechanical & Reliability Engineer at Keurig Dr Pepper, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and execution of the equipment reliability program across our manufacturing sites. This position is designed for a self-driven individual who is eager to make a significant impact within a leading producer and distributor of hot and cold beverages. You will be responsible for building and managing relationships with both internal and external resources to effectively implement project initiatives that drive productivity results, optimize value, and promote growth. Your role will involve close interaction with various departments including Manufacturing, Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Procurement, and other key Business Units within the Supply Chain. Additionally, you will work directly with manufacturing sites to develop, modify, and implement plans aimed at improving reliability. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a Master's degree being a plus. We are open to considering candidates from other engineering disciplines, provided they have relevant experience. You should have a strong background in designing equipment and making modifications, leading design reviews, and developing and executing capital projects within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the Food and Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sectors, particularly with plant production lines, is highly desirable. Knowledge of high-speed filling and packaging technologies will be considered an ideal area of expertise. Responsibilities

  • Utilize reliability statistics to prioritize areas of focus and identify appropriate part replacement and maintenance intervals
  • Determine root cause physics of failure and provide recommended corrective actions
  • Provide facilitation for DFMEA, FMEA, and similar activities
  • Participate in technical design reviews to assess project status and design readiness
  • Approval of equipment design, development, and execution
  • Define performance criteria, aid with schedules and capital budgets
  • Define key process parameters and testing methods with the Packaging Engineering team
  • Provide input equipment and platform specifications as well as SAT's and FAT's
  • Provide technical project assistance to project managers and plant personnel
  • Drive Technical knowledge/documentation management and department communication/deliverables
  • Optimization of vertical startup methodologies
  • MSA and SOW development with Procurement and Legal
  • Drive lean and standard work principles to ensure team/department efficiencies
  • Build strategic relationships and communications with internal customers, stakeholders, and external Partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus
  • Experience designing equipment and equipment modifications
  • Experience leading design reviews
  • Experience developing and executing capital projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in Food and Beverage or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and plant production line is a plus
  • Knowledge of high-speed filling and packaging technologies is ideal.
