The Senior Principal Network Wireless Modeling and Strategy Engineer will play a pivotal role in the emerging wireless team at Comcast, focusing on enhancing the Xfinity Wireless customer experience. This position requires a deep understanding of 5G and wireless technologies, as well as expertise in spatial analytics and machine learning to tackle complex big data challenges. The engineer will be responsible for supporting key strategic initiatives, which include analyzing Xfinity Mobile customer usage and performance, identifying wireless opportunities, and assessing the competitive landscape within Comcast's operational footprint. Additionally, the role involves the rollout of new network plans and features that align with the company's strategic goals. As an individual contributor, the Senior Principal Engineer will collaborate extensively with various teams and vendors to provide subject matter expertise on mobile and fixed wireless networks. This includes managing the development of a sophisticated mobile and Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) / Private 5G network modeling tool. The engineer will leverage their in-depth technical knowledge of 5G networks, market insights, spectrum considerations, and financial factors to analyze network traffic, capacity, and the overall business case for network investments. The role also entails performing detailed data analysis to extract actionable business intelligence from diverse wireless network data sources, utilizing big data analysis tools as necessary. The engineer will be expected to conduct thorough analyses on various industry-related issues, including spectrum and regulatory challenges, and to produce comprehensive reports as required. Furthermore, the engineer will create both detailed and executive-level presentations to communicate modeling results and other wireless network analyses effectively. Staying informed about future 3GPP releases and features is also a critical aspect of this position, as is providing MNO network modeling-based analyses to inform business decisions and strategy.
