About the position

The Sr Principal Scrum Master will lead Agile processes and practices for the Command and Control for Ballistic Missile Defense (C2BMC) program at Northrop Grumman. This role involves mentoring teams, coordinating with the Product Owner, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The Scrum Master will support the transformation to Agile methodology, focusing on developing processes, templates, and training materials to enhance team performance and product delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Scrum Master duties and Agile coaching for the C2BMC software development team.
  • Lead and mentor teams on Agile processes and practices.
  • Coordinate with the Product Owner and scrum teams to ensure effective delivery of products.
  • Develop and execute a plan to support the transformation to Agile methodology.
  • Create processes, templates, artifacts, and training materials for Agile practices.
  • Interface with customers and stakeholders to build strong working relationships.

Requirements

  • An active Secret clearance is required to start.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related experience, or a Master's degree and 6 years of experience, or a PhD and 5 years of experience, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Agile development tools such as JIRA and Agility (Version One).
  • Experience in decomposing Agile features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Agile Certification such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Agile Certified Professional (PMI-ACP), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
  • Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering, Software Development, and Verification cycles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Agile Coaching experience would be a highly desired skill.
