About the position

The Sr. Principal Systems Engineering - Solution Manager at Raytheon is a leadership role responsible for overseeing a large team and managing significant budgets in the development and integration of defense systems. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure mission success, focusing on cost, schedule, and technical performance. The role is critical in guiding the project through its final stages of development and testing, ensuring that all requirements are met effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the mission through the remainder of integration and test activities
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on scope definition and cost estimation
  • Prepare and present technical briefs to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify technical issues impacting the mission and collaborate with others to drive solutions to closure
  • Work in an Agile program environment
  • Work in a classified lab on site in Aurora, Colorado or Richardson, Texas

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, or related Technical field
  • Minimum 10+ years' relevant or equivalent experience
  • Active and transferable Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance
  • Experience with ground based satellite mission management and command and control systems
  • Experience leading Agile/DevSecOps teams
  • Experience leading Engineering Teams on Defense and/or Intelligence Programs with responsibility over cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Experience providing technical Systems Engineering plans

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Experience leading large (50+ people) Engineering Teams on Defense and/or Intelligence Programs
  • Experience ensuring consistency across an integrated product team
  • Experience with Cloud technologies and migration to the Cloud
  • Experience with Containerization and databases
  • Experience with Automation (Build, Deploy, Test)
  • Familiarity with Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
  • Software Engineering Experience, developing, testing, and integrating code
  • GEOINT CONOPS development from a ground segment perspective
