About the position

The Senior Process Engineer at Rogers Corporation plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day production support, maintaining process documentation, and implementing and monitoring process controls. The engineer will identify and resolve process inefficiencies while supporting scale-up and development efforts to target new business opportunities. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain safety, product quality, yield, and overall manufacturing effectiveness. Daily troubleshooting and resolution of process difficulties are essential functions of this position. In addition to troubleshooting, the Senior Process Engineer will optimize manufacturing processes to achieve sustainable gains in cost-effectiveness and product performance. This optimization may involve capital projects, statistical analysis, designed experiments, and procedural changes. The engineer will work closely with Research and Development (R&D) and Operations teams to improve existing products, develop new manufacturing processes, and resolve complex technical and quality issues. The role also includes direct interaction with customers to address technical and quality concerns and to provide special products as needed. The Senior Process Engineer will oversee the start-up of new products and equipment, supervising installation and troubleshooting initial production runs. Ensuring that new processes and products meet established requirements is a critical aspect of this role, along with documenting and transferring successful processes to production.
