About the position

The Sr. Process Engineer (Photolithography) role at Canon U.S.A., Inc. involves providing development support for onsite installations and process integration of photolithography semiconductor equipment. This position is critical in establishing new wafer fabrication process technology for semiconductor device manufacturing, requiring both independent and collaborative work in a pre-production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support Canon equipment process qualification, process development, improvement projects, and integration projects with customers.
  • Establish a new wafer fabrication process technology for semiconductor device manufacturing.
  • Design and run tests, analyze, summarize, and present data and conclusions.
  • Collaborate with experts from various teams to improve the manufacturing process.
  • Perform high-quality evaluations on new hardware and software.
  • Identify issues and work with the Canon team for resolution.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external review.
  • Interact with customers with limited supervision.

Requirements

  • PhD degree preferred with 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience or knowledge in optical, lasers, software, robotics, precision mechanical skills, or chemicals required.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system preferred for operating and troubleshooting the system.
  • Hands-on mechanical skills preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic testing tools required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under challenging situations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer support experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel and work flexible schedules.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom environment most of the day.

  • Experience with customer-facing roles.
  • Familiarity with Haz/Com regulations and requirements.
