About the position

As a Senior Process Engineer at Delek US Holdings, you will play a crucial role in developing and modifying process formulations, methods, and controls to meet stringent quality standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in recommending and implementing improvements, modifications, or additions to existing processes. You will review product development requirements to ensure compatibility with processing methods, which will help determine costs and schedules effectively. Additionally, you will integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet both process module target specifications and technology target specifications. In this position, you will apply your process engineering principles and expertise during project development and provide support to other refinery departments as needed. You will be responsible for producing process designs for projects outlined in the Capital Plan, aimed at improving safety, operational efficiency, maintenance, and profitability of the refinery while adhering to departmental standards and environmental regulations. Your role will also involve troubleshooting and optimizing operations, conducting daily performance monitoring, and analyzing key performance indicators such as energy consumption, yields, and overall process unit health. You will generate, analyze, interpret, and disseminate performance indicators and unit operations data for assigned units, evaluating catalyst usage and performance. Your findings will be reviewed with refinery management, and you will secure approval to implement necessary changes. Throughout your work, you will exercise sound judgment in equipment design and process development to ensure that safety, environmental, economic, and operability objectives are met. Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards.
  • Recommend and implement improvements, modifications, or additions to existing processes.
  • Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
  • Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications.
  • Produce process designs for projects on the Capital Plan to improve safety, operation, maintenance, and profitability of the refinery.
  • Provide troubleshooting and optimization assistance for Operations.
  • Conduct daily performance monitoring including energy consumption, yields, and process unit health performance indicators.
  • Generate, analyze, interpret, and disseminate performance indicators and unit operations data for assigned units.
  • Evaluate catalyst usage and performance.
  • Review findings with refinery management and secure approval to implement changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field (Required).
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or a related field (Preferred).
  • Four (4) or more years of experience in a related field (Required).
  • Ten (10) or more years of process engineering experience in the refining industry (Preferred).
  • Strong understanding of process engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in producing process designs and conducting performance monitoring.
