About the position

The Senior Process Consultant of Artificial Intelligence will join the Strategy and Optimization team at The Hartford, focusing on delivering business strategy through effective process management and continuous improvement. This role involves leading the implementation of generative AI capabilities, driving operational improvements, and collaborating across functions to enhance business processes and services. The position can be performed in a hybrid or remote work arrangement, with an emphasis on leveraging technology to optimize operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement strategies for effective process management and continuous improvement.
  • Lead the implementation of generative AI capabilities to transform business processes and services.
  • Center Voice of Customer (VOC) and Voice of the Employee (VOE) in all process changes.
  • Execute continuous improvement of operational processes using lean methodology.
  • Create, manage, and update a Continuous Improvement Plan and process.
  • Execute and manage continuous improvement projects and activities.
  • Redesign processes into future state maps and translate them into continuous improvement activities.
  • Partner with business leads to map current-state and maintain future-state business-process flows.
  • Develop KPIs to determine the health of processes with business input.
  • Collaborate with multiple business areas to develop innovative solutions for customers and employees.
  • Communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Advocate for innovation within the organization and promote a culture of experimentation.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and feedback from various business units.
  • Lead/support projects across Operations, validating business requirements and communicating project status.
  • Assess strengths and opportunities of projects to drive efficiency and improvement.
  • Manage and monitor project timelines to deliver desired outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, GenAI, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of strategic project management experience with Generative AI, Predictive Analytics, Machine Learning, and Automation Tools.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills at all organizational levels.
  • Strong ability to manage complexity and ambiguity.
  • Technical expertise in leveraging technology to enhance business processes.
  • Experience in developing measurement methodologies to evaluate business outcomes.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Eager to embrace new challenges and acquire new skills as needed.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence others.
  • Critical thinking skills with sound judgment and troubleshooting ability.
