About the position

As the nation's largest producer of clean, carbon-free energy, Constellation is dedicated to accelerating the transition to a carbon-free future. The Sr. Product Analyst position plays a crucial role in supporting Constellation's energy generating facilities by managing the efficient operation and lifecycle of cutting-edge applications that drive these facilities. This position is part of a product delivery team responsible for the entire lifecycle of products and systems, which includes day-to-day operational support, understanding new business needs, architecting, designing, and developing solutions, as well as ensuring quality through testing, release management, and change management. The role requires a high level of independence, with the ability to work under the guidance of a Manager or Project Manager. The primary duties involve collaborating with other product team members to achieve team goals through a clear understanding of business needs and expected outcomes. The Sr. Product Analyst will deliver application and infrastructure solutions by assisting in planning work activities, analyzing requirements, designing and building software solutions, and enhancing existing products and processes to meet team goals and metrics. Maintaining and enhancing engagement with business partners and stakeholders is essential, as is managing scope and expectations. The role also includes identifying and implementing continuous improvements associated with the platform to support effortless customer experiences, developing and maintaining technical capabilities, and participating in strategic product planning meetings to provide insights on risk, cost vs. benefit, and impact.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other product team members to determine how to achieve team goals through a clear understanding of business needs and expected outcomes.
  • Deliver application and/or infrastructure solutions to meet expected business outcomes by assisting in planning work activities, analyzing requirements, designing and building software solutions, and enhancing existing products and processes.
  • Maintain and enhance engagement with business partners and other stakeholders; manage scope and expectations with stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements associated with the platform to support effortless customer experiences.
  • Develop and maintain technical capabilities within supporting discipline or function, including best practices.
  • Review estimates of specific solutions to ensure time, cost, and design meet the needs of the business.
  • Participate in strategic product planning meetings for insight on risk, cost vs. benefit, and impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 5 - 8 years of experience in product development, product management, or business analysis, or 9 - 12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Ability to work with remote team members and/or stakeholders.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members and business stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in Agile.
  • Strong understanding of, and demonstrated ability to implement and utilize Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
  • Experience leading small IT projects or sub-teams and knowledge of IT project management in correlation to the product line.
  • Manage software support contracts for area of responsibility.
