About the position
The Senior Decision Scientist at ZipRecruiter will leverage extensive hands-on experience with SEO to enhance the company's SEO strategy, improve website visibility, and drive organic traffic. This role involves collaborating with product management, engineering, and design teams to prioritize and plan the product roadmap based on data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Utilize descriptive analysis to uncover insights related to user behavior and monitor SEO performance metrics.
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for optimization and SEO content creation.
- Design and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the impact of SEO initiatives on user engagement and conversion.
- Create dashboards and visualizations to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Build predictive models to forecast future SEO performance, identify trends, and inform content and marketing strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, statistics, or economics (or equivalent experience).
- 4+ years of product analytics experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in SEO analytics.
- Experience designing experiments, testing, and utilizing statistical principles to inform business decisions.
- Proficient in statistical computing and scripting languages such as Python, R, SQL.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, operations research, or economics.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in probability and statistics theory, causal inference, experimental design and analysis, synthetic control, product ecosystems, and Bayesian inference.
- Experience in product analytics with a focus on user acquisition.
