Collaborating across teams, we transform user insights into innovative, impactful designs for mobile and web platforms. Driven by a deep understanding of our users, we advocate for their needs to shape meaningful experiences that make health and fitness more accessible and rewarding. This is a hybrid position in NYC, and once the team is hired they will determine which days they spend onsite.

Responsibilities

Create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for our advertising platform
Transform abstract ideas into practical and functional designs
Address complex challenges with innovative and creative solutions
Work closely with cross-functional teams to explore opportunities, prototype concepts, and iterate on designs
Deliver impactful and engaging end-to-end design solutions
Present design solutions and rationale to the team and key stakeholders
Bridge the gap between research insights and actionable design concepts
Leverage a people-focused design thinking mentality
Focus on creating operational excellence within the Product Design team, emphasizing learning, feedback, and high-velocity iteration
Partner closely with a cross-functional team of Product Managers, Engineers, Analysts, Researchers, and Marketers
Craft effective and engaging user experiences by understanding both customers and our business
Embody and promote the core values of MyFitnessPal in all activities

Requirements

5+ years of experience in product design, with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design solutions
Expertise in creating user-centered designs that balance business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility
Advanced proficiency with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite
Strong understanding of interaction design, visual design, and design systems
Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and commitment to inclusive design practices
Experience conducting user research and applying findings to inform design decisions
Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to diverse stakeholders
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and other team members in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills with a creative approach to addressing design challenges
Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
Passion for staying updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices
